The proprietor of Beauty and Beyond, Karen Horner has been a Registered General Nurse for 9 years and still works as a nurse practitioner at Kettering general hospital part time.  Karen qualified as a beauty therapist in 2008 following training at Northampton College for 2 years, where a NVQ 2 in beauty therapy was achieved.  Due to her nursing background,  Karen has ensured that the salon environment is as clean as possible and takes sanitation of equipment and the salon very seriously.  The combination of the two careers makes for a very different beauty therapist that will give you confidence in the treatments performed.

Karen has undertaken further training in Swedish body massage,  Hot stone massage, and a professional bridal make up course at the Jemma Kidd make up school in London. Karen has most recently undertaken spray tanning training with Sienna X.

 Beauty and Beyond is open two days a week, mainly a Monday and Thursday with weekend and evening appointments available, as the salon is expanding more days will be added as required.
